“Without lighthouses the United States might have followed a much different course of history. During the 8^th century, one in every four New England sailors perished at sea and there were over 1000 shipwrecks off Cape Cod alone. So in 1789 Congress mandated the construction of lighthouses along our nation’s shoreline to light the way for our fledging country. Lighthouses allowed safer travel for millions and ensured necessary food and supplies made it to port.”

A similar course of intervention is needed for many organizations across the nation. At SOLID Foundations we see service-oriented organizations as lighthouses in our communities, providing hope and guidance to those struggling in search of direction and support.
